Various works created in 2018 at my private studio in Tucson, AZ.

3.5’ x 3.5’ - Judith Slaying Holofernes in 2019 - latex paint on canvas

Painting of an Unknown Memory, 60cm x 50cm; 2’ x 2.5’ x 3", Painting of a film photo from a roll of film I developed from a garage sale of a stranger. I painted this by taping a brush to the end of a 3’ wooden rod - thus further removing myself from a clear depiction of documenting someone else’s memories.

The Dance; latex on canvas, 30" x 40" x 2", This artwork recalls Henri Matisse’s famous and recognizable painting Dance. My aim is to emphasize the objectification of women - how at times throughout a woman’s life we can feel our entire being is minimized to parts of our body with our minds, thoughts, ideas, and experiences removed.

This painting was exhibited in the Rocky Mountain Biennial at the Fort Collins Museum of Art in 2020.
