Elizabeth Groth(b. 1992) is a Texas-born artist & graduate of studio art & international relations from the University of Texas at Tyler. She recently moved to Boulder, Colorado from Tucson, Arizona where she kept a solo studio practice and was a museum educator at Tucson Museum of Art. Before that, she lived in Madrid where she spent two years developing her body of sculptural and installation work and as a studio assistant for Spanish sculptor Clara Carvajal. While overseas, she completed two artist residencies: one in painting and installation in Madrid, and another in fiber arts in Sefrou, Morocco during Ramadan. She has given several university lectures and has had three solo exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers. Groth began instructing painting in 2013 and enjoys engaging with artists and students wherever she is planted. Her art practice is currently based at the House of Serein - a community studio in Boulder, Colorado.
