Dimensions: 16” x 20”

Year: 2020

Medium: piece of trash(unknown medium), cotton string, pink museum board, needle, thread

Details: My studio practice often involves picking trash off the ground. I often infuse found objects with sterile materials more associated with "art" - in this case, museum board. I also like for my techniques to be obvious and accessible to viewers by showing my hand or process in the production of the piece. The result is a single triangle sewn into the found trash with the needle still attached mid-sew dangling behind the frame. My goal is to meet non-artists in a thought of, "I could have done that," by challenging them to do exactly that, or something different.

Another exploration of saying more by using less.

*Frame included.
